It really is a sad time when good things come to an end and so it is with great sadness that I have to tell you that the website is coming to its final edition. There are a couple of reasons; the first is that the website server has put its prices up and, much though Barrie (who writes the website for us) tried to persuade them otherwise, we could not justify a price hike when there are so many animals in greater need of the money. The second reason is that Dixie and I hope to be moving to Norfolk in the UK at the end of the year and so our links with Cyprus Alfie will slowly fade away. Having said that, all you Alfie dog owners please send me lots of pictures of your dogs and please keep in touch. I intend to continue to foster and re home dogs here in Cyprus while funds are still in the bank. The website will stay on line until about the end of the year but there will not be any regular updates to it. However, you will still be able to use the reply page to get in touch with me with news and requests. And just for your interest, the website has been attracting over 150 hits a month so it has been well worth it. Can I offer my sincere thanks to all my friends and colleagues who have always come forward with their help both in practical and financial terms. Can I thank the vets who have bent over backwards to help us and can I thank all those who have organised fund raising events - without you all, the Alfie Fund would have got nowhere. Please, all of you, keep in touch.
